Facilities Engineer

Sekse & Hogstad is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to work in the operations technical team for our client, a leading E&P company, based in Stavanger.  As Facilities Engineer you will have primary responsibility for process engineering and surveillance for our operated facilities. Key activities will include process performance monitoring and technical support to the field operations, chemical selection and optimization, scoping and progressing optimization opportunities, and provide support on other general facilities related issues as required.  The job will require close interaction with the onshore and offshore Operations and Central Maintenance Organizations.

 

Requirements of Candidate:

  • M.Sc degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of experience within the offshore industry
  • Multi-disciplinary experience (process, facilities engineering, project execution)
  • Experience (or necessary skills) to work with engineering contractors, vendors, independent verification bodies, and maintenance/operating organizations.
  • Ability to identify and implement new technologies, operational efficiencies, and life time extension initiatives

 

The position will require you to travel offshore on an infrequent basis to support troubleshooting, project maturation or general surveillance activities. 

Candidates should be able to work independently and possess a broad range of personal effectiveness and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate and influence business decisions in a team environment.
