Managing Director

For one of our clients we are currently seeking a new Managing Director:

Main tasks

  • Overall responsible for the company – including, but not limited to – commercial, operations, QHSE and personnel
  • Establish, agree and deliver the Business Plan and the yearly budgets
  • Promote and strengthen the company as a trusted and valued business partner with suppliers and customers. Build and maintain strong relationships with key representatives from current and potential customers
  • Provide line managers with a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities for individual, team and company performance
  • Focus on innovation and continuous improvement in all business conduct
  • Design and implement a full range of business strategies and services. Establish, develop and continuously improve the strategies to support the company’s mission which is to grow revenue, profitability, and organizational capabilities in close cooperation with major shareholders
  • Manage the company, exhibiting a driven leaderships style and producing tangible and visible results
  • Responsible for company operations to ensure world-class operations, productivity, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources
  • Actively take part in building contacts and relationships in the marked in addition to have a strong focus on the commercialization of the company

Education and Experience

  • Strong leadership capabilities, with proven record of achieving revenue targets in a cost focused, safety sensitive and service driven environment
  • Proven experience, exposure and understanding of contractual issues
  • Demonstrated successful record of identifying the need for and implementing change
  • Broad experience within networking and building relationships with existing and new customers
  • Solid experience within organizational change and development
  • Relevant higher technical and/or commercial education
  • Technically strong with previous experience from the drilling and rig sector
  • Strong communication skills, ability to motivate staff and able to engage employees
  • Solid network and a well-established name within the drilling and rig sector.
  • Ability to combine strategic issues with operational merits
  • Customer oriented with strong commercial and strategic mind set and experience
